These terms govern your use of OVERHEAD ("the App") at overhead.world, operated by Jash Patel. By using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
OVERHEAD is a visual, browser-based simulation of the sky overhead — stars, planets, the Moon, the Milky Way, meteor showers, satellites, the ISS and live aircraft — intended for enjoyment, education and ambience.
The App depends on external services (adsb.lol, OpenStreetMap/Nominatim). Their availability and accuracy are outside our control, and the App may be interrupted or change at any time. The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.
OVERHEAD's own source code is free and open-source software, licensed under the
GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPL-3.0). You are free to use, study,
modify, self-host and share it under those terms (see LICENSE.txt) — including the
AGPL requirement to make corresponding source available if you distribute it or run a modified
version as a network service. The OVERHEAD name and design remain the property of Jash Patel.
A separate commercial licence is available for uses the AGPL does not permit
(for example, embedding OVERHEAD in a closed-source product). Third-party components remain under
their own licences as listed in
NOTICE.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jash Patel is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, including any reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
